How do you fix a suspended Google Business Profile?
Short answer: You fix the guideline problem first, gather documents whose business name and address match the profile, then submit one appeal through Google's Business Profile appeals tool. Google reviews it and emails you the decision.
Step by step
- Find the reason. Open the appeals tool. It shows the decision date, the reason, a link to the policy and whether it can be appealed.
- Fix the profile so it matches Google's guidelines for representing your business: real name, eligible address or service area, a phone you control.
- Gather evidence. Google lists business registration, a business license, tax certificates and utility bills (electric, phone, water, internet). Check that the name and address match the profile.
- Write a short explanation in the appeal text box and attach the files.
- Submit once. Google says appeals can only be submitted once, so check everything first.
- Wait for the email. Track the status (Submitted, Approved, Not Approved) in the same tool.
If your whole Google account is restricted
Google says to appeal the account restriction first on your My accounts page, then appeal the profile.
